Dear Peter,

I am writing to give notice that with effect from October 24 we will no longer be
requiring the weekly chess column which you have been supplying for the last few years.

Following a review of our features section it has been decided that the column is not local
enough to justify its presence. As space is at a premium, it is also felt it took up space
which might be better used.

I would like to take this opportunity of thanking you for your contribution over the last
few years and hope that should you come across any interesting stories featuring players
from our area, you will still free able to contact us.
